More than 4,400 years ago, in ancient Egypt, a philosopher considered one of the very first philosophers of our history, the vizier Ptahhotep, shared his writings of wisdom with his contemporaries.
Ptahhotep is the author of one of the oldest wisdom writings that has come down to us after the Instructions of Shuruppak. This text is called Teaching of Ptahhotep or Book of Maxims of Ptahhotep and was found on the Prisse papyrus currently preserved in the national library of France.
This text deals with humility, the art of debate, vanity, justice, greed, the refusal of rumor, the good use of speech, indulgence, the necessity of kindness, listening, understanding...
The teachings of Ptahhotep, initially intended to train the future great dignitaries of Egypt, have not aged a bit and are full of quotes that are still relevant today and to cite just a few examples:
Listening benefits the listener - If he who listens listens fully, then he who listens becomes he who understands - To listen is better than anything, thus is born perfect love - He who listens becomes the master of what is profitable
Nothing has changed after 4400 years and this is the reason why a training
"Some principles of communication & Active Listening"
is proposed to the persons who are regularly involved in communication processes with stakeholders. Many companies have excellent products for sale and means to sell them, human and financial, and what will make the difference between these companies is the quality of the persons, in particular their ability to communicate, that is to say, deliver a message after having developed a relation with the client.
